WHO WILL MUMMA BUMP FIT COACHING WORK FOR?
I help women to build their confidence. There are three types of women I help.
Firstly, I help pregnant women who want to keep active during pregnancy and don’t know what they can be doing to keep themselves and their babies safe, who are worried about labour and how it will affect their bodies afterwards and who want to stay strong and comfortable throughout their pregnancy.
Secondly, I help post natal women from 6 weeks post birth onwards who want to get their figure back, who have post natal aches and pains, who have a weak core and pelvic floor, who want a flat stomach after suffering with diastasis recti, who want to feel strong and fit again and who want to feel confident with their bodies again.
Finally, I help women (primarily over the age of 35 and have a “fit for forty/fifty” goal) who like to challenge their strength and fitness so they can feel stronger and fitter. In my opinion, feeling and looking strong is way better than being slim. Building strength and fitness is a great way to tone up and improve your body image. If you’re carrying excess body fat this type of training will help you shed that weight.
WHAT MAKES YOU DIFFERENT TO OTHER PERSONAL TRAINERS OR OTHER FITNESS CLASSES?
I set up Mumma Bump Fit to help all women to feel confident in themselves and their abilities. I specialise, and am an expert, in pregnancy and post natal exercise. For women who aren’t peri-natal, I coach them to become stronger and fitter. In my opinion, you can never be too strong. I know what makes people feel good about exercise (seeing results, constantly varying exercise sessions, achieving things they didn’t think possible and having fun). These are my areas of expertise and I guarantee results.
I take a unique approach to helping people. Other coaches may try to help everyone from someone who wants to lose weight to someone who wants to run a marathon and everything in between. I know my areas and I have a vast amount of experience working with customers who share these goals. I help people see results quicker & easier than if they were to try on their own. My small group personal training has a maximum of 5 people per session so you get plenty of coaching rather than being left to it unsure whether you’re doing the right thing. Plus I make my sessions fun so you can exercise with a smile on your face.
I AM REALLY UNFIT AND HAVE NOT EXERCISED IN A VERY LONG TIME. CAN YOU HELP ME?
I treat each person differently and the coaching is tailored to you. I have different training methods for each level of fitness so you can feel confident that you will be able to get involved with every aspect of each training session. My sessions take place in my private gym, The Stalls, on Little London Road so you will never feel self-conscious like you might do in a gym or outdoors.
I HAVE TRIED TO EXERCISE BEFORE AND IT WASN’T ENJOYABLE, WHY SHOULD I TRY AGAIN?
There are so many different types of exercise and I try to make training fun. You will find yourself with a smile on your face during each session. If there is something you don’t like, you don’t need to do it. It’s that simple.
WHAT DO I NEED TO HAVE TO TRAIN WITH YOU?
All you need are some trainers and some loose/sports clothing. You don’t need any equipment. Any homework you get involves items that you have in your house or use your body weight to get you working.
IF I JOIN GROUP TRAINING, I AM WORRIED THAT THE OTHERS WILL BE FITTER THAN ME OR WON’T FEEL THE SAME AS I DO
You don’t need to worry about anyone being fitter than you as each exercise has a different level to it and you’ll be able to get involved. Each group session has like-minded people to you with similar goals and I find that this helps each member achieve their targets faster.
